Remember the sassy 40’s and swinging 50’s?

Of course you don’t! (And if you do, we promise not to tell!) A new generation of garter loving, girdle

wearing girls are creating a resurgence of Golden Age glamour and they’re doing it with help from the professionals!

The Lindy Charm School for Girls is dedicated to reviving the glitz, glamour and etiquette of the early

20th century. The era was epitomized by such trademarks as redder-than-red lipstick, bullet bras,

girdles, seamed nylons, sky high heels, sexy garters and classic hairstyles boasting victory rolls and finger waves.

“The Charm School workshops are about keeping the traditions of our foremothers alive and kicking”

says Chrissy. “I am passionate about educating women that glamour and vintage glamour is an art

form and needs to be carried on.” Many women have stopped her over the years and told her how

much she reminds them of their grandmother, mother, aunty, or a film star from ‘back in the day’, and

how much they love the look. Chrissy is here to show women they too can achieve the look.

The Lindy Charm School workshops are divided into sections which cover:

• How to recreate hair styles from the 30’s to the 50’s, firstly the

• traditional way and then the newer version using modern styling tools.

• How to apply make-up to give a classic beautiful finish, just as they did back then.

• Do’s and don’ts about vintage fashions plus how/what is vintage.

• A generous amount of time is dedicated to assisting students to

• achieve their own hair and make up style using the information they have learned.

So if you’ve ever wanted to become a pin-up gal and learn how to pin curl, victory roll, set your hair

in rollers, finger wave, or recreate vintage make-up, why not give Chrissy a bell and transport yourself back to the rockin 50’s!
